Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Location: Full On-Site - Miami, FL

Salary: $85K-130k

Requirements: 5+ years experience in designing electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, lighting protection, and low voltage/communication systems. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Familiar with International/Florida Building Codes and National Electrical Codes.

We are a MEPFP design and consulting firm, seeking a full-time senior level Electrical Design Engineer to join our Miami office.

Our services have been provided for new construction, additions, renovations, system upgrades, remodels and studies dependent up on the needs of the clients. On our team you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project types including educational, healthcare, high-end exclusive private island residences, municipal, historical, aviation, commercial and design build.

What You Will Be Doing

Main Responsibilities

• Design and review construction documents for applicable code compliance and perform code research as required to comply with applicable Florida State, Local and Federal Codes
• Perform calculations to ensure selected equipment meets the requirements of the project
• Design and draft electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, lighting protection, and low voltage/communication systems
• Ability to perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design
• Prepares field reports, opinions, and recommendations for the approval of the Project Manager concerning the direction of the project
• Identify and select equipment from appropriate manufacturing catalogs/websites for specific applications
  
  

What You Need for this Position

Required

• Strong skills in AutoCAD and Revit
• 5+ years experience designing building electrical power systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio
• In depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, NFPA, and NEC
• Ability to write technical specifications
• Bachelors Degree, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Must be fluent in the English language (speaking and writing)

• PE license or EIT heavily preferred
