Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to support development and sustaining engineering projects in the medical device industry. This role focuses on evaluating and recommending alternate electronic components for Class II and Class III medical products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as IEC 60601-1, ISO 13485, and RoHS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and identify electronic components not compliant with RoHS
• Research and recommend alternate components that meet compliance standards without requiring major design changes
• Analyze datasheets, perform comparison studies, and justify component selections
• Participate in engineering team activities to complete development and sustaining projects
• Lead small-scale design change efforts and complete associated documentation
• Conduct system, analog, digital, and firmware design reviews, testing, and debugging

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Communications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics and communication engineering
• Strong knowledge of component engineering and semiconductor chips
• Experience designing or supporting Class II and III medical devices
• Familiarity with IEC 60601-1, ISO 13485, and RoHS compliance

Preferred Background:

• Prior experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred
• Strong ability to assess and integrate alternate components into existing product design
