Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Cost Engineer to join our automotive engineering team in Mexico City. You will lead cost estimation, component analysis, and optimization for electrical and electronic architectures, collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and finance.

You will drive cost modeling, teardowns, and supplier benchmarking, ensuring alignment with project budgets and technical specs across hybrid operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive cost engineering or electrical systems cost modeling.
• Ability to lead design-for-cost (DfC) and VA/VE workshops.
• Strong cost driver analysis and teardowns.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost breakdown analysis for vehicle electrical systems and components.
• Evaluate cost drivers in manufacturing processes including PCB, plastic injection molding, and assembly operations.
• Lead DfC and VA/VE workshops to identify opportunities.
• Develop bottom-up cost models and benchmark supplier proposals against targets.
