Job summary

Dematic in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Senior Technical Training Specialist/Electrical & Controls Trainer to develop and deliver high-quality training for internal and external stakeholders. You will cover operations, maintenance, controls, software, and customer solutions, ensuring curricula stay current with equipment needs.

You will act as a subject matter expert, creating student guides and materials for both traditional and fully digital delivery, and you will take on broader responsibilities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering training for customized products and systems.
• Strong PLC and industrial controls knowledge (AB/Siemens preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and controls drawings.
• Excellent communication and training skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to grow with the company and equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training programs covering operations, mechanical maintenance, controls maintenance, specific equipment, software, and customer solutions.
• Explain how Dematic solutions integrate into material handling systems.
• Adapt curriculum quickly to changing equipment and needs.
• Contribute to student guides and training materials for traditional and digital platforms.
• Take on increased responsibilities as knowledge grows.
