Dematic is seeking an Electrical Controls Applications Engineering Intern/Co-Op in the United States. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, you will support senior engineers by performing basic tasks and learning Dematic systems, with 40-50% travel to customer locations across the USA.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a BS/BA in Engineering.
• 0-4 years of related experience typical for interns/co-ops.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of routine systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Assist lead engineers with project documentation and tasks.
• Learn Dematic systems, including CAD and SAP, and demonstrate proficiency.
• Propose ideas to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Assist with start-up, commissioning, and testing of material handling systems.
• Assist with software PLC emulation and testing of material handling systems.
• Follow Standard Work Practices and procedures.
