Job summary

Nmble is partnering with a global leader in warehouse and supply chain automation to staff its new technical training facility in Grand Rapids. We’re looking for two experienced electrical and controls trainers to deliver hands-on training to internal teams and customers who operate and maintain advanced material handling systems.

If you know PLCs inside and out and you enjoy teaching others, this is a chance to help launch a new training center from day one.

Qualifications

Strong PLC skills and experience with PLC programming and industrial controls (Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred).
5+ years of experience delivering technical training on customized products or systems, ideally in material handling or automation with a controls focus.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems, machine diagnostics, repair, and automation.
Ability to read and interpret industrial mechanical and controls drawing sets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
A genuine desire to help others learn.

Responsibilities

Deliver training on system operations, mechanical maintenance, controls maintenance, specific equipment, software, and customer solutions.
Explain how custom automation solutions fit into the full operation of material handling systems.
Act as a subject matter expert who helps build student guides and training materials for in-person and digital delivery.
Adapt quickly as curriculum and equipment change.
Take on more responsibility as your knowledge of the systems grows.
