Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician III to maintain and optimize station electrical and control systems, diagnose complex equipment, and mentor less experienced staff in a safety‑driven environment.

You will work across switchgear, motors, generators, PLCs, HMIs, and DC systems, supporting 24/7 operations with rotating shifts and occasional travel while ensuring compliance with NEC and PHMSA standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with certified trade/technical hands-on training.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong safety record and adherence to Enbridge policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment at the station, including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
• Support and maintain control systems and networks, including PLCs, HMIs, and associated instrumentation.
• Maintain DC systems such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters to ensure continuous and reliable operations.
• Inspect, test, and maintain safety systems, including ESD panels, gas and flame detection systems, and emergency shutdown devices.
