Job summary

Seven Seas Water Group, headquartered in Tampa, seeks an Electrical/Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission power and control systems for large SWRO plants. The role covers electrical architecture, PLC/SCADA programming, network security, and field startup support across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial automation, PLCs, HMIs, and power distribution, with travel to Caribbean/LA locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in industrial automation and power distribution.
• Experience designing and implementing PLC/SCADA solutions for water treatment or process industries.
• Ability to review project specs and translate into electrical design and procurement requirements.
• Experience with NFPA 70 and UL 508A standards is a plus.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and document overall system control architecture, hardware selection, remote I/O, and integration with remote monitoring and SCADA.
• Review project specs and incorporate requirements into design and procurement specifications.
• Prepare engineering documents (Network Architecture Diagram, Load List, Instrument Data Sheets, wiring diagrams, etc.) on schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with other discipline engineers to ensure coherent P&ID, facility layouts, and documentation.
• Implement electrical and control designs to support SWRO plant construction and operations.
• Design and evaluate electrical installations for NEC compliance; supervise electrical installations.
• Program, commission, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and SCADA systems; oversee other programmers.
• Oversee field startup support and cost estimation for new electrical systems; work with customers and contractors.
• Travel to Caribbean/Latin America locations up to 35% as needed.
