Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/related engineering field is required.
• 5+ years as a machine builder or controls engineer preferred.
• PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley and Studio 5000.
• Experience with VFDs and servo controllers.
• Proficient in electrical and fluid schematics.
• Manufacturing environment experience and safety standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Designs safety and operational controls for equipment and troubleshoots issues.
• Specifies components and documents control systems in drawings and spec sheets.
• Programs PLCs using ladder logic diagrams.
• Collaborates with Automation Engineering and Maintenance to meet standards.
• Creates equipment specifications for GUI/communication interfaces.
• Coordinates with production planning on electrical work and modifications.
