Job summary
LM Manufacturing in Detroit is seeking a Controls Engineer to assist in the design, development and installation of PLC-based control systems. You will troubleshoot PLC-related issues, develop technical documents and participate in startup and commissioning.
The role requires hands-on electrical/mechatronic knowledge and strong collaboration across departments. Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with RSLogix and FactoryTalk, and a proven ability
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic or similar engineering degree or trade qualification is expected.
Responsibilities
- Assist design, development and installation of new PLC-based control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues in production.
- Produce and update technical documents and schematics.
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness and follow company policies.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to support operations.
