Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking an Electrical Controls & Sustaining Senior Engineer in Duncan, SC. You will own the electrical controls lifecycle for VPP packaging equipment, designing and sustaining PLC/HMI, servo, and motion control systems from launch through end-of-life.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, support testing and field validation, and lead ECOs and documentation. Travel about 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years in industrial automation/electrical controls.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, motion control, servo systems.
• Experience with real-world manufacturing control systems.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 79/UL/CE electrical standards.
• Ability to travel ~20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical controls lifecycle for VPP equipment from commercialization through sustaining support.
• Design, debug, and maintain PLC, HMI, servo, VFD, and motion control systems.
• Investigate complex issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions.
• Support testing, commissioning, field validation, and customer evaluations.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and documentation.
• Lead ECOs and obsolescence activities; drive reliability and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to improve manufacturability.
