Job summary

Kforce is seeking an experienced Electrical/Controls Engineer in Chandler, AZ. You will lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design projects, perform comprehensive power system studies, and develop critical design documentation like P&IDs and wiring diagrams.

You’ll design PLC/HMI/SCADA architectures and serve as Engineer of Record for Arizona deliverables. The role requires a PE license, AZ registration or ability to obtain via comity, and 5+ years of relevant experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Active Professional Engineer license and Arizona licensure.
• Minimum 5+ years in electrical/controls engineering with NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems; proven project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls design projects.
• Perform power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, motor starting.
• Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, IO lists.
• Design PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architectures.
• Serve as Engineer of Record with sealed AZ design deliverables.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Support construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
