Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Houston seeks a Superintendent to supervise craft employees in the Electrical construction discipline. You will plan and oversee construction activities, determine methods, safety requirements, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules, and document hours.

You will coordinate with other crafts and departments, ensure compliance with safety policies, conduct field audits, investigations, and manage communication with HR for manpower and project needs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in similar facility construction.
• 1+ years' experience supervising craft employees.
• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling cost control.
• Ability to supervise large groups.
• Excellent oral and written communication; good computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises work activities. Determines method of construction, safety procedures and requirements, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documents actual hours worked.
• Coordinates assigned work with different crafts, company departments and/or other contractors.
• Maintains liaison with safety department, engineering, estimating and planning to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Assists in resolving construction problems and safety issues, as required.
• Conducts accident investigations with safety department, as required.
