Job summary

Tiello LLC, partnering with an established Chicago-area commercial electrical contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager for electrical construction projects valued at $5MM+ across healthcare, institutional, and education sectors. You will own the project from bid to closeout, lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

Travel to job sites as needed; bachelor's in CM/EE/ME or related field and 3–7+ years PM experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–7+ years of project management experience, preferably in institutional construction.
• Minimum 2 years managing large, complex electrical construction projects exceeding $5MM (healthcare experience preferred).
• Demonstrated experience estimating jobs and forecasting materials and labor throughout projects.
• Proven success meeting construction project KPIs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong organization, time management, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project schedules, milestones, and deliverables from bid through completion
• Track project financials, labor, and change orders; manage billing
• Forecast materials and labor; oversee materials purchasing and deliveries
• Estimate projects: perform material take-offs, review scope and final bid, finalize summary sheets
• Visit job sites and conduct job meetings; collaborate with site superintendents and build trust with field staff
• Coordinate subcontractors and communicate with GCs, construction managers, and inspectors
• Maintain customer relationships, manage large accounts, and develop new business annually
• Mentor less senior PMs and manage expectations of contributing office personnel
• Take ownership of project financials and outcomes
