Job summary

Raytheon in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Electrical Component Engineer to support the Effector Subsystems Products (ESP) Department. The role involves parts engineering, components engineering, and applications tasks across proposal, SDD, LRIP, production and support phases.

You will interface with designers, ECAD, program management, and suppliers to drive component selection, risk assessment, and verification, and will prepare data packages for program reviews.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in at least 3 of the listed categories.
• Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs.

Responsibilities

• Day to day interface with designers, ECAD function, program management, and other disciplines.
• Define program statement of work (SOW) and component requirements.
• Determine environmental/characteristic application requirements for components.
• Provide technology insertion and parts selection guidance within design constraints.
• Interface with suppliers to develop component risk and verification delineation.
• Create component verification data packages with supporting data.
• Provide applications engineering support to multiple program IPTs.
• Coordinate BOM and libraries for program reviews (PDR/CDR).
• Present component standardization and obsolescence risk results for reviews.
