Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a seasoned engineer to review project scope, develop commissioning plans, and lead multidisciplinary teams through commissioning and energization across New York State. You will collaborate with contractors, design engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

The role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote and onsite site work, with travel as required to client locations in NY.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• 5 years’ experience in construction, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment, relay protection and control systems, start-up and commissioning.
• Experience in commissioning and testing of electrical substations, including supervision of construction, commissioning and energization.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, protection & control, and substation equipment.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the field and coordinate with clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities and willingness to travel to sites across New York State.
• SCADA and specialized training (e.g., PTI, WPI).

Responsibilities

• Review project scope and required services prior to commissioning activities.
• Review protection schemes for incorporation into new designs.
• Develop Commissioning Plans including outage and energization and develop commissioning documentation forms.
• Collaborate with contractors, design engineers, operations teams, and clients to support project execution.
• Lead multidiscipline teams during commissioning and provide technical guidance to resolve issues and deliver documentation.
• Flexible work location including remote, onsite at client sites, or in an Accenture office; some in‑person collaboration time.
