Job summary

CodeGreen is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer in New York City with 5–8 years of building commissioning experience. The role balances hands-on technical oversight with project management across multi-practice projects and requires coordination with leadership for adequate resourcing.

The position is hybrid in NYC and involves travel to client sites around NYC. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and commissioning credentials are preferred. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of direct experience in building commissioning.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related subject preferred.
• Certified Building Commissioning Agent, CCP, BCxP, CxA (AABC) or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of Local codes, IECC, ASHRAE, LEED, state/local requirements.
• Ability to review MEP submittals and equipment sequences and develop tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide main point of contact (POC) and project management oversight for multiple client teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget according to contract terms and client expectations.
• Support client teams in translating client needs into actionable strategies and deliverables.
• Coordinate with leadership for resources and workload across projects.
• Oversee project quality control and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
