Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Electrical CAD Engineer to own the development, release and sustainment of electrical schematics, panel layouts and wiring designs for mission critical power and cooling products. This role requires deep expertise in electrical CAD tools and coordination with mechanical/PLM teams to maintain alignment between electrical designs and product configurations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of hands-on electrical CAD design experience.
Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical or Edge Electrical.
Experience designing power distribution and control systems for complex projects.
Working knowledge of IEC, UL and regional electrical compliance requirements.
Ability to independently execute complex electrical designs with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Independently develop and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts and wiring designs for complex systems using EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical or Edge Electrical.
Design and document power distribution, protection, grounding, and control circuits for power distribution and cooling platforms.
Ensure designs meet safety, reliability and serviceability requirements across operating conditions.
Coordinate electrical packaging with mechanical layouts, thermal constraints, and enclosure architectures.
