Job summary

Amcor is hiring an electrician/maintenance technician to ensure the safety and reliability of production equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical breakdowns, program PLCs and drives, and support installations and upgrades across the plant.

This role requires reading blueprints, traveling with contractors as needed, and participating in preventive maintenance. Overtime and rotating shifts are expected to maintain production goals.

Qualifications

• Read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and diagnose production equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with contractors for repairs or upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 technical support for production.
• Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade electrical systems including PLCs, drives and inverters.
• Oversee installation and modification of equipment and components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and order parts as needed.

Skills

Read blueprints

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate degree or certificate in Industrial/Electrical

Journeyman certification preferred
