Job summary

PE Global is seeking an Electrical Authorised Person for a leading multinational energy technology client in Norwich. The contract is initially 6 months and InsideIR35. The role involves high voltage installations, risk assessment, and authorising work through Permit to Work systems.

Start date is immediate, with close collaboration with customer SAPs to safely energise equipment. The candidate will oversee safety compliance, signage, and pre-job briefings while coordinating with PICW and site

Qualifications

• HV substation experience and understanding of electrical safety rules
• Ability to authorise and manage permit-to-work systems
• Experience coordinating with customer SAPs and subcontractors

Responsibilities

• Assess impact of work on Electrical Installation and personnel
• Ensure signage, barriers and safety measures are in place
• Lead risk management: RAMS/POWRA reviews and pre-job briefings
• Collaborate with Nominated PICW for planning and risk management
• Authorize start of work by approving Permit to Work or Permit to Test
• Acknowledge return of permits before energisation changes
• Review and inspect activities prior to energisation
• Ensure tests per Insulation, earthing and testing plans are completed
• Act as SAP for the company and coordinate with Customer SAPs
