Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a seasoned Dispatch System Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor to lead 24/7 dispatch for the electric distribution system, overseeing switching, tagging, clearances and outage restoration.

You will supervise SOC staff, coordinate with Electric Service, Field Operations and external agencies, monitor SCADA and alarms, train new dispatchers, and ensure accurate reporting; training occurs in Dorchester, Southborough and New Bedford, with Dorchester as the primary site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline plus five years of dispatch-related experience.
• Associate degree plus seven years of experience in dispatch, transmission or field service.
• Minimum of nine years in dispatch, transmission, distribution, generation or field service.
• Five or more years of related electrical utility experience.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, operates and maintains electronic dispatch system including SCADA.
• Plans, writes, approves and issues clearances for switching and tagging.
• Responds to OMS outage events, analyzes problems and dispatches personnel.
• Monitors loads and voltages during switching and peak periods.
• Trains new dispatchers and conducts on-the-job training (OJT).
• Coordinates dispatching with internal and external personnel.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

Associate degree in Engineering or related field
