Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a Dispatch Supervisor for the 24/7 Dispatch System Operations Center (SOC) to plan, coordinate, and supervise switching and tagging for the electric distribution system. The role covers evaluating outage events, directing field dispatch, and ensuring safe restoration work across multiple control rooms.

The candidate will oversee performance in real-time operations, monitor SCADA alarms, and collaborate with Electric Service and Electric Field Operations.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of utility Transmission and Distribution system design, operations and safety standards.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage schedules and projects.
• Ability to work under stress during emergencies for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, operates and maintains electronic dispatch system (SCADA) for distribution.
• Directs switching, grounding and tagging instructions for the distribution system.
• Receives outage and trouble calls, analyzes problems and initiates corrective actions including dispatch.
• Monitors load and voltages to ensure safe operation during switching and peak periods.
• Trains new dispatchers and supports on-the-job training.
