Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is hiring for an Electric Construction Specialist, Senior in Antioch. The role partners with Maintenance & Construction and Transmission Lines to identify feasible construction projects and advise on contracting needs.

You will work with Project Management and Engineering while coordinating with outsourced firms during bids. You will serve as the primary contact for contractors and contribute through the project life cycle, from scoping to contract execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Desirable knowledge spans multiple work types: transmission, distribution, substation, civil construction.
• Experience with project management theories, concepts, and best practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with civil/electrical engineering concepts and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and M&C supervisors to define targets and assess contract potential.
• Review contractor proposals and support selection and financial confirmation processes.
• Attend job scope walkdowns and IFC review meetings with engineers and managers.
• Prepare scope documentation and coordinate communication with contractors at job sites.
