Job summary

PG&E in Antioch, CA is seeking an Electric Construction Specialist, Senior to identify contract-worthy projects and consult on construction feasibility for Engineering. You will partner with Maintenance & Construction and Transmission Lines to guide outsourced contracts through bid and life cycle stages.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, engineers, and contractors, reviewing proposals, supporting RFP processes, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School or GED.
• Five (5) years post-journey level or equivalent experience in construction projects with either a civil or electrical focus.
• Knowledge of multiple work types: transmission, distribution, substation, and civil construction.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws (FERC, NERC, CAISO, CPUC).

Responsibilities

• Works on single-activity projects with project managers and M&C to understand construction targets and contract potential; reviews contractor proposals for financial confirmation.
• Participates in job scope walkdowns and IFC review meetings with PG&E Engineers, PMs, and M&C personnel; compiles internal drawings and data for RFP and contract processes.
• Interprets design and writes work-specific scope documentation; conducts meetings at the job site with contractors to review design.
• Utilizes workload management database tool and updates assigned projects.
