Job summary

ShorePoint is seeking an Elasticsearch Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize Elastic Stack solutions for federal environments. You will lead technical implementations across cloud, on-prem and hybrid infrastructures to enable security operations and data-driven outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in systems engineering with Elastic expertise, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record of migrating legacy platforms while maintaining security controls.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• 6+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure with Elastic expertise.
• Design, deploy and optimize Elastic Stack in federal environments.
• Experience with security controls (TLS, SSO/SAML, PIV/CAC, STIG).
• Strong problem-solving and self-starter mentality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Linux CLI and basic networking.
• Experience with cloud providers.
• IaC tooling experience (Ansible, Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy and tune Elastic Stack across cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments.
• Migrate legacy security platforms and translate queries across SPL/ES/QL.
• Design data ingestion pipelines using Elastic Agent, Fleet, Logstash and Beats.
• Harden deployments for federal compliance (TLS, PIV/CAC, SSO/SAML, STIG).
• Build dashboards and Kibana visualizations for security operations.
• Develop automation using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to client stakeholders.
• Contribute to internal IP with reusable templates and reference architectures.
