Job summary

Jolera is seeking a Senior Elastic Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and strategic evolution of Elastic environments supporting security and observability use cases. You will partner across teams to ensure scalability, resilience, and platform standards in enterprise environments.

The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, driving complex solution design, ingestions, dashboards, and deployment strategies in AWS-backed Elastic deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise Elastic environments.
• Strong experience with Elastic Security and Elastic Observability.
• Expert-level knowledge of Elasticsearch architecture, including indexing, sharding, replication, search, and query performance.
• Deep expertise in capacity planning, cluster optimization, scaling, and platform hardening.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and continuous improvement of enterprise Elastic environments.
• Define and enforce best practices for scalability, resilience, lifecycle management, and operational excellence.
• Design production-grade CI/CD pipelines for Elastic deployments.
• Lead large-scale Elastic Agent and Fleet deployments with strong operational standards.
• Design ingestion pipelines, data models, and normalization standards aligned to ECS.
• Monitor and optimize cost drivers across compute, storage, ingestion, and retention.
• Mentor engineers and review technical designs for platform roadmap planning.
