Job summary

Level, based in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Senior ELA Learning Designer to craft engaging pedagogy, practice exercises, and assessments for the Guide's English Language Arts product.

You will combine classroom teaching expertise with digital product experience to create scalable, standards-aligned content for grades 3–6, collaborating with designers, scientists, technologists, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of classroom teaching in grades 3–6 ELA
• Product experience in edtech or digital content creation
• Strong instructional design background for digital and interactive learning environments
• Deep understanding of literacy development and science of reading
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to constraints

Responsibilities

• Develop High-Quality ELA Content: define pedagogy, write lessons, craft assessments for grades 3–6 ELA.
• Apply Learning Science & Instructional Design: leverage cognitive load theory, pacing, mastery learning, and misconception analysis.
• Build Scalable Content Systems: create modules with consistency and scalable workflows.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, technologists, and product teams to translate instructional intent into digital experiences.
