Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale IT implementations within the PMO and EIS teams. You will coordinate requirements, design workflows, manage budgets and schedules, and drive go-live readiness while mentoring junior staff.
The role requires 3+ years managing healthcare IT projects, PMI/ITIL experience, and a preferred PMP certification. This hybrid position is based at 6500 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA.
Cedars‑Sinai’s Project Management Office (PMO) operates primarily under Enterprise Information Services (EIS) and Operational Effectiveness. It drives the execution of strategic healthcare initiatives, including large‑scale IT implementations (like Epic), clinical infrastructure build‑outs, and cross‑departmental investments.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities necessary to implement various information systems, including managing the following project responsibilities: system requirements definition, process and/or workflow redesign, vendor evaluation and contract negotiation (if applicable), implementation coordination with operations and other EIS departments and more specifically projects driven by the Enterprise Data Infrastructure team. Responsible for developing and managing detailed project budgets and schedules, status reports, project PowerPoint presentations, and escalation of critical issues. Coordinates communication between all project team members and operational partners ensures vendor responsiveness and compliance with the terms of the contract (if applicable) and coordinates initial user training/transition to an ongoing user support group. Mentors and assists junior staff on more complex projects.
Support of go‑live readiness activities and occasional after‑hours coordination during critical implementations
Prefer someone living locally or willing to relocate to LA area, but open to remote in Approved States: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas
Experience Requirements:
Three (3) plus years of experience managing system implementations, preferably in a healthcare organization.
Demonstrated experience in project management, scope, cost, time, risk, quality, and communication using Project Management Institute and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation principles.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in health care, business, or technical field highly preferred.
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred.
