Job summary

Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive seeks a senior EHST leader to direct and optimize the plant's environmental, health, safety, and training programs. You will drive a strong safety culture, lead audits, and coordinate with leadership to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in EHST within automotive manufacturing, ISO 14001/45001 experience, and proven incident investigation and training delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHST/EHS experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• ISO-14001 experience and education.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Experience in developing and delivering employee safety training.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety programs and risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHST programs, policies, procedures, and objectives for the manufacturing facility.
• Lead the plant's safety culture and drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety performance.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish and monitor EHST performance metrics, including incident rates, near misses, workers' compensation, corrective actions, environmental performance, and training compliance.
• Serve as the primary EHST resource for employees, supervisors, managers, and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, state environmental and occupational safety regulations, and local requirements.
• Maintain required permits, registrations, records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as the primary point of contact for applicable governmental agencies.
• Develop and deliver emergency preparedness, response, and training initiatives.
• Lead investigations and establish corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage environmental reporting and ensure timely completion of required environmental documentation.
