Job summary

Astec is seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health and Safety leader to develop and implement programs across the company. You will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, oversee illness and injury prevention, and lead safety policy development and training.

The role requires 5+ years in a manufacturing EH&S setting, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• 5+ years in managerial or technical manufacturing EH&S role.
• Excellent oral and written communication; meticulous and accurate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain company policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Keep abreast of changes to EH&S laws and regulations and implement policies accordingly.
• Provide initial and refresher training on safety, health and protection from hazards.
• Ensure records are prepared and maintained according to safety and environmental guidelines.
• Complete and file environmental reports and chemical inventory requests timely.
