Job summary

Averro is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to strengthen environmental, health, and safety compliance at our defense manufacturing site in the United States. You will own EHS programs, manage documentation, and lead training initiatives to ensure OSHA/EPA compliance.

You will inspect facilities and processes, investigate incidents to identify root causes, and implement preventive actions. This hands-on role includes periodic travel and collaboration with operations to safeguard a safe, compliant

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 5-7 years of professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EHS experience with inspections, investigations, training, and OSHA/EPA compliance (limited EHS exposure considered).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); self-starter able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Own EHS compliance programs and documentation, including policies, training records, and incident reports.
• Deliver safety and environmental training; update management on program status.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and processes; monitor hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive changes.
• Serve as hands-on site EHS resource on the plant floor; occasional travel (about one week every other month).
