Job summary

Acara Solutions in Gardena, CA is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to lead EHS initiatives across manufacturing, assembly, repair, engineering, program development, and office operations.

You will serve as an EHS subject matter expert, driving compliance, reducing workplace risk, advancing sustainability goals, and continually improving EHS programs and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 10+ years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) within manufacturing, engineering, assembly, or similar industrial environments.
• 10+ years of experience conducting safety audits, workplace assessments, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS activities, audits, workplace surveys, risk assessments, and corrective action initiatives to support a safe and compliant work environment.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Program Management teams on ergonomics, chemical management, hazard assessments, hazardous waste management, and other EHS programs.
• Investigate incidents, analyze trends, identify root causes, and ensure accurate documentation and timely regulatory reporting.
• Develop and maintain EHS programs, training, records, permits, certifications, inspections, and compliance documentation in line with applicable requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives while monitoring regulatory changes and promoting consistent EHS practices across locations.
