Responsibilities

• Conducts facility and site walk down and inspection activities to monitor compliance with Safety Practices such as PPE, etc.
• Directs activities of safety committee and may provide safety training
• Acts as a liaison to the subcontractor work force training and work performance
• Fulfills the role of admin support for EHS Supervisor and EHS Manager
• To coordinate the implementation of the company EHS policies, Safety Management System and project/location specific Safety Management Plans as they apply to the location.
• Ensure the location complies with the relevant Occupational and Safety Legislation and the respective client's safety requirements.
• Conduct and report the results of safety observations and audits, evaluate corrective action plans, verify implementation of corrective action plans, and analyze EHS data for trends.
• Accept assignments within the safety departments and perform specific duties as may be required.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and regulations including government regulations, standards and policies.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of the safety program assigned.
• Ensure the safety of any subordinates and ensure their compliance with established safety policies, procedures and practices.
