Join to apply for the Senior EHS Specialist role at PPG.

As the Sr. EHS Specialist, you will help drive a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety program for the PPG Little Rock facility. You will provide leadership, direction, and training to ensure a safe and healthful workplace while maintaining compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations. Collaborating with all levels of manufacturing, technical, and engineering teams is essential to promote a unified EHS message.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote the PPG EHS culture through active engagement with employees and leadership.
• Mentor and support employee EHS Committees, encouraging participation.
• Serve as the site Process Safety Management (PSM) coordinator.
• Engage daily with employees, supervisors, and management on the production floor to foster a “One PPG” EHS culture.
• Manage environmental, health, and safety compliance activities and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee EHS training programs, including development, delivery, and record management.
• Drive safety initiatives such as Job Safety Analysis, risk assessments, and Management of Change.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions using methods like 5-Why.
• Facilitate audits and self-assessments, and assist in addressing audit findings.
• Ensure completion of EHS inspections and support workers’ compensation administration.
• Model environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Manage the Industrial Hygiene Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in EHS, preferably in manufacturing or chemical settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA standards, inspection procedures, and incident investigation techniques.
• Process Safety Management experience is advantageous.
• Effective collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
