Job summary

IPS, Integrated Project Services, is seeking an experienced Construction EHS Site Manager in New Jersey to lead safety oversight on pharmaceutical/cleanroom construction projects and ensure adherence to client and regulatory requirements.

This role travels up to 40% to client sites, coordinates with the IPS Superintendent, reviews JSAs and SPA, administers safety programs, and maintains compliance across the project safety plan.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction safety experience.
• Experience on an active pharmaceutical or cleanroom construction project site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee jobsite safety compliance and adherence to project safety plan.
• Participate in kick-off meetings to communicate EHS requirements to contractors.
• Conduct safety orientation for all new workers and visitors.
• Consult daily with the IPS Superintendent to coordinate safety activities and High-Risk Work Permits.
• Review contractor JSAs for compliance with client/IPS requirements.
• Assist in reviewing daily Safe Plan of Action (SPA) documents for quality and clarity.
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety plans, submittals, training, and equipment inspection.
• Educate and advise the project team on safety guidelines to meet regulations.
• Inspect the job site regularly and document observations in the project system.
• Assist in managing the IPS SOR program and safety incentive programs.
• Investigate incidents and complete all required reporting and documentation.
• Maintain safety records including JSAs, toolbox talks, SDS, inspections and permits.
• Other duties as assigned.
