Job summary

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Site Lead to foster a strong safety culture and enforce programs ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role includes leading the Safety Committee and coordinating with corporate partners on site performance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s in EHS/Industrial Hygiene, 5+ years in a regulated setting (pharma preferred), and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a regulated industry (pharma/medical device preferred).
• Working knowledge of Federal and State regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
• CHMM/CSP/CIH preferred; CSP required if no other certs.
• First Aid/AED/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experience and knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards (LOTO, machine safety, ergonomics, chemical safety, BSL-2).
• Serve as Safety Officer and lead Safety Committees.
• Develop, conduct, and track employee EHS training.
• Maintain EHS records, licenses and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and implement safety policies aligned with Global EHS goals.
• Conduct job hazard analyses and recommend preventive actions.
• Inspect facilities for EHS risks and coordinate corrective actions with corporate partners.
