Job summary

Muller, Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program across all operations.

You will develop, implement, and oversee safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, training, and reporting to sustain a proactive safety culture. The role focuses on OSHA, FMCSA, DOT compliance, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and construction safety regulations.
• Experience managing safety programs in construction/utilities/site development/heavy civil industries.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records and reporting systems.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full incident reporting and investigation process from initial documentation to follow-up actions.
• Manage all project safety documentation, including Exposure Control Plans, JHA/AHA, safety checklists.
• Track and report monthly and quarterly safety metrics and trends.
• Oversee safety training during onboarding and ongoing employee development; lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Coordinate site visits, fleet inspections, and review field safety inspection reports.
