Job summary

AISIN North Carolina Corporation is seeking an experienced Safety & Health leader to oversee regulatory compliance across its manufacturing facilities. The role requires implementing programs, training, and recordkeeping to promote a proactive safety culture.

The position emphasizes interfacing with all organizational levels, leading an emergency response team, and driving risk reduction through audits, investigations, and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of practical Health & Safety experience with at least 5 years in senior/managerial roles in a large/complex manufacturing setting.
• OSHA 1910 knowledge; OSHA-30 certification; CPR/First Aid/AED training.
• Experience with inspections of radiation equipment, crane operations, health programs, machine guarding, investigations, LOTO, Hazardous Communication.
• Experience developing/managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems.
• Experience handling workplace injuries with an on-site health clinic.
• Able to collaborate with all levels and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Lean manufacturing exposure and demonstrated results.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and health regulatory compliance across multiple ANC locations.
• Interface with plant personnel at all levels; provide expert guidance with minimal supervision.
• Communicate safety programs and policy requirements emphasizing behavioral safety to leadership.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements; conduct audits/inspections to assess site compliance and mitigate risk.
• Advise Plant/Facility Management on the impact of manufacturing processes on safety and health.
• Develop and deliver training programs addressing safety/health issues.
• Maintain safety/health records per corporate specs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain emergency evacuation and fire prevention programs across ANC sites.
• Support EH&S compliance activities, including complex surveys, permit applications, and reports.
• Lead programs to reduce workplace risks and injuries, including ergonomics; chair Emergency Response Team and Safety Committee.
• Ensure timely completion of complex safety programs and initiatives.
• Conduct investigations and report findings to leadership.
