The role requires a strategic thinker who can anticipate regulatory changes, lead investigations, train teams, and partner with manufacturing leaders to prevent incidents while promoting continuous improvement in a busy, multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety policies and regulations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Two years general industry safety experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 General Industry preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset toward processes.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement and implementation of OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead incident/injury investigations and corrective actions.
• Educate and train project teams in safety requirements and incident prevention.
• Perform health and safety inspections, assessments, and audits.
• Coordinate non-routine activities with safety and operations impact.
• Develop project plans and timelines aligned with EHS goals.
• Partner with departments to recognize hazards and prevent injuries.
• Deliver training including orientation, compliance, forklift, LOTO, machine guarding, chemical hygiene, etc.
• Administer EHS programs driving participation, data entry, evaluation, and reporting.
• Maintain records for safety training and inspections.
• Assist associates, supervisors, and contractors on EHS matters.
• Manage safety shoe and prescriptive eyewear programs.
• Coordinate hazardous waste shipments and disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
