Job summary

The Wine Group is seeking an experienced Site EHS - Safety Specialist 2 to drive regulatory compliance and environmental health & safety program excellence at our California facility. You will manage complex permit programs, lead audits, and partner with regulatory bodies to advance safety and environmental performance.

You will oversee data analysis, reporting, and continuous-improvement initiatives within the EHS Management System (Intelex), coordinating with plant leadership and contractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences/management and health and safety or related field preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience in EHS roles.
• Regulatory compliance, permitting, and program management expertise.
• OSHA Cal/OSHA and hazardous materials/waste management training preferred.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support Plant Leadership and EHS with regulatory compliance and program management.
• Lead environmental and safety projects with internal teams and contractors.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies.
• Manage permit activities (USEPA, OSHA, CalEPA, CalOSHA, local districts).
• Lead internal audits, inspections, and safety committees; implement corrective actions.
• Analyze regulatory changes and advise on compliant operations.
• Coordinate with management on continuous improvement projects.
