Job summary

Solid Power is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to advance EHS programs and PSM in our battery manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance to strengthen safety performance and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on hazardous materials, emergency preparedness, training, hazard analysis, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities. A strong background in high-hazard manufacturing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Maintain chemical inventory systems, SDS databases, and chemical labeling programs in accordance with GHS requirements.
• Conduct routine safety audits, hazard assessments, JSAs, facility walkthroughs, and specialized assessments (fire safety, arc flash).
• Lead or support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented to closure.
• Develop and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and emergency response/PSM programs.
