Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking an EHS Specialist to oversee environmental compliance, workplace safety, and Process Safety Management at our chemical manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant operations to sustain a proactive safety culture, meet regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead PSM elements, manage regulatory reporting, perform audits, and deliver comprehensive safety training to ensure a safe, compliant operation across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety/environmental field.
• 2+ years of EHS experience in chemical/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910.119, EPA RMP, RCRA, and GHS.
• Active ASP, CSP, or CHMM certifications preferred.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead PSM elements (PHA, MOC, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews).
• Oversee hazardous waste, air emissions, and wastewater reporting.
• Conduct workplace audits, exposure monitoring, and PPE assessments.
• Lead root-cause investigations for incidents/near-misses; manage CAPA.
• Deliver site safety programs including HazCom, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, HAZWOPER.

You will work closely with plant operations to maintain a proactive safety culture, satisfy regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regulatory Compliance: Lead PSM elements, including Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
• Environmental Management: Oversee hazardous waste (RCRA), air emissions (Title V), wastewater discharge, and Tier II / TRI reporting.
• Industrial Hygiene & Safety: Conduct workplace audits, chemical exposure monitoring, and PPE assessments.
• Incident Response: Lead root-cause investigations for incidents or near-misses and manage corrective action plans (CAPA).
• Training: Deliver site safety programs including HazCom, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, and HAZWOPER.
