Job summary

EnerSys is seeking an EHS professional to support the EHS Manager in maintaining safe, healthy, and regulatory compliant working conditions at the Springfield facility. The role involves assisting in developing and maintaining an effective accident and injury prevention program.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or related field, OSHA 30-Hr certification, and 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with preference for lead-acid battery production

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification is preferred.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) is desirable.
• Ability to perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Experience conducting industrial hygiene assessments and interpreting air sampling results.

Responsibilities

• Safety Program Development & Compliance: develop and maintain OSHA-compliant programs.
• Occupational Health: lead lead exposure control measures and related health monitoring.
• Training & Employee Engagement: conduct safety trainings and toolbox talks.
• Serve as liaison between employees and management on Health & Safety concerns.
