Shirley Parsons has been retained to find a Senior EHS Manager for a leading global manufacturer in Phoenix, AZ. This hands-on role drives EHS initiatives at a highly automated production site, balancing plant-floor engagement with administrative duties.

You will lead environmental, health, and safety programs, mentor two EHS professionals, and partner with plant leadership to strengthen safety culture and accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Hands-on plant-floor experience with strong EHS expertise and environmental knowledge.
• Experience with LOTO, machine guarding, ergonomics, material handling, and incident prevention.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide environmental, health, and safety programs, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with plant leadership and employees to strengthen safety culture and accountability.
• Oversee programs including LOTO, machine guarding, ergonomics, material handling, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Provide leadership to two EHS direct reports.
• Oversee environmental programs including wastewater treatment, anaerobic digesters, and sustainability initiatives.
• Balance approximately 50% plant-floor engagement with 50% administrative responsibilities.

The Role:

The Candidate:

• 5+ years of EHS experience minimum in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Hands-on plant-floor experience with strong health and safety expertise and some environmental knowledge.
• Experience with LOTO, machine guarding, ergonomics, material handling, and incident prevention.
• Beverage, food manufacturing, or high-speed canning experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence employees and leaders at all levels.
