This full‑time role emphasizes risk reduction, training, and hands‑on field work across departments to raise safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 7 years in EHS program management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Experience supervising employees and cross‑functional teams.
• Certifications such as CHP, PMP, CHMM, REM or similar are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage daily operations of an environmental, safety, health and wellness program and ensure policy compliance.
• Supervise staff: assign work, evaluate performance, train, and handle hiring/discipline decisions.
• Perform complex technical work on safety/environmental initiatives.
• Provide guidance on environmental policies to County departments and staff.
• Support audits and inspections, recommend high‑level control measures.
• Prepare professional reports and regulatory filings.
• Create and deliver outreach and education programs.
