Job summary

Croda is seeking an experienced Lead Safety, Health & Environmental Excellence leader for the Atlas Point site in New Castle, DE. This on-site role oversees all environmental, occupational safety, and process-safety activities, reporting to the Site Director and serving on the Site Leadership Team.

You will drive strategy, regulatory compliance, and EHS performance while embedding SHE principles into every operation. This is a premier leadership position at a critical manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading Environmental and Safety programs within chemical manufacturing or a complex industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DNREC, Responsible Care, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with site emergency-preparedness, drills, incident command, mutual-aid coordination, and response-team readiness.
• Demonstrated success interacting with regulators, auditors, local responders, and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading EHS teams and building organizational capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the SHE team at Atlas Point through objectives and performance management.
• Integrate EHS requirements into capital planning, operations, and site transformations.
• Influence site leaders to achieve high EHS performance and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and continuously improve SHE management systems to meet regulatory and Croda standards.
