Job summary

Croda in New Castle, Delaware seeks a Shift Team Leader to supervise a wide shift of operations and lab technicians. You will drive safety, optimize throughput, and develop team capability while maintaining strict adherence to policies.

The role requires strong leadership, a technical background, and the ability to coach staff across shifts. You'll monitor performance, mentor technicians, participate in recruiting, and uphold the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in a chemical plant.
• Two or more years of experience leading hourly operations personnel across multiple shifts.
• Experience with chemical processing equipment and operating systems.
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Laboratory and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed on shift.
• Monitor operating metrics and assist with throughput targets.
• Lead and develop operations and laboratory technicians across shifts.
• Recruit technicians and apprentices for the site.
• Maintain positive employee relations and enforce the bargaining agreement.
• Set high standards for safe, compliant and reliable work.
