Job summary

Hrelements in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs in a chemical manufacturing setting. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and fostering a strong safety culture.

You will develop and maintain programs, conduct risk assessments, coach operations leaders, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHP are preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety leadership experience.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or related industrial environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA and other regulations compliance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for manufacturing processes.
• Coach operational leaders on EHS initiatives and compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and safety initiatives across the facility.
• Identify and implement industry best practices to strengthen performance.
• Lead or support incident investigations and regulatory reporting when required.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs (HAZCOM, emergency response, safety awareness).
• Conduct routine audits/inspections and track corrective actions.
• Analyze EHS metrics and implement action plans for trends and opportunities.
