Job summary

Grace is seeking an EHS Manager to lead process safety initiatives in a South Haven, Michigan facility. You will evaluate risks, conduct behavioral audits, and implement safety policies with the plant leadership and Corporate EHSS to ensure OSHA and MIOSHA compliance.

As a member of the Site Leadership team, you’ll supervise safety professionals, drive PHAs/LOPA studies, and enforce EHSS policies while advancing health, safety, and security programs on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years of chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial experience.
• Supervisory and leadership experience.
• Experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 and EPA 40 CFR Part 68, hazardous waste, and wastewater regulations.
• Available for on-call and after hours work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Process Safety programs in a process facility per OSHA, MIOSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Lead and manage the site’s Process Safety Advisor and related PHAs/LOPA activities.
• Support administrative duties for site security and required policies.
• Administer health and industrial hygiene programs (IH monitoring, exams).
• Participate in compliance audits, emergency planning and response, and training.
• Prepare and submit EHS compliance reports on time and accurately.
• Administer safety training programs and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage EHS tracking systems and corrective actions, including MOC oversight.
• Ensure mechanical integrity of fire safety systems and related plant safety infrastructure.
