Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to provide health and safety guidance to project line Supervisors, audit EHS programs, and drive corrective actions to continuously improve workplace safety.

You will lead site safety training, review project plans for risks, liaise with regulatory agencies, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with OSHA and nuclear-sector requirements, including return‑to‑work programs and safety communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Leadership experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and training facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Act regulations a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation for workers, supervisors, staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Review project plans and sites to identify safety risks before work starts.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, inspectors, subcontractors, and the public.
• Improve Health and Safety Programs with senior management.
• Represent the company in meetings on workplace health and safety matters.
• Mentor staff in conventional safety procedures and safety documentation.
